UDAAN Society in association with Aligarh Nagar Nigam, organized an event to encourage students to understand the importance of cleanliness and to inculcate the habit of keeping their surroundings neat. In the wake of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, the government has launched an application named “Swachhata-MoHUA”. The aim of this application is to keep authorities of the areas informed, that require attention in terms of cleanliness by taking direct inputs from the local residents. The residents can upload the image of areas which do not suffice the cleanliness criteria. The gathering was addressed by Mr. Rajesh Gupta (Zonal Officer, Nagar Nigam Aligarh) with team and Mr. Gyanendra Mishra (President, UDAAN Society & Director, Aligarh Childline), Shireen Rajendra, Childline Coordinator and Ms. Anchal Maheswari, Intern, NMIMS.
Drives like these are essential to make people aware about the initiatives taken by government for the improvement of the locality. Moreover, this generation of millennial, if, provided with correct guidance could help in the progress of the country.
We, at UDAAN, pay our sincere gratitude to Gagan College of Management & Technology, for supporting us to accomplish our agenda. We hope to organize more such events in the future in order to bring social awareness among community as well.
