4th February 2020, under the Childline initiative, Childline team conducted “Documentary programme” at Ram katori school followed by an expert session girls of classes 8, 9 and 11 were shown the documentary of menstrual Hygiene , Dr. Rathi had a talk with the girls on menstrual hygiene and made the children aware about the topic, how to be healthy, gave them health tips about nutritional values, as of vitamins and etc.
Children asked questions to Dr. Rathi, she told the girl how to be healthy and hygienic so that they are strong enough to face the issue. Doctor also welcomed the children to her hospital, who have issues with the topic. Also asked the students to come with principle’s letter so that they will get concession and told that they can get sanitary pads for Rs 10 from the respective hospital.
Later girls and boys of 8, 9 and 11th standard were documented on waste segregation, bio composting and Swachh Bharat mission were filmed and discussed with the students. Around 250 children participated in the meeting, Children were aware about the Childline, child rights and to keep the schools homes and surroundings clean. A token of appreciation was given to Dr. Rathi and School Principal Shrimati Kamla Gupta.
