Who We are and What we Do

UDAAN Society was formed in 2004 when some young social workers who were working to eradicate polio decided to work on alternative strategies, instead of relying on community mobilization. The plan was to work on the deep-rooted factors and causes of any problem, not the problem itself. For this purpose, a banner was created and registered on 13/12/2004 under the name UDAN (United Development Association for the Improvement of Abandoned). Despite being registered by young social workers with qualifications in social work, financial administration, human resource management, agriculture, law, public administration etc., we have been favored by academics, professionals and government officials from all walks of life. Currently, the executive committee of UDAAN Society has eleven members who make important decisions and steer the organization's future course of action. The team is dedicated to guiding the organization at each and every step.

Our Objectives

· To make a paradigm shift, from disorganized to sustainable development.

· To raise awareness of the issue facing both rural and urban areas, as well as to inform and educate target communities.

· To Make sure that the public participates in sustainable development programmes and decision-making.

· To improve the effectiveness and character of society's disadvantaged and neglected people.

· To Launch initiatives to enhance the standard of living for those living in low-income communities.

· To Increase the services for identifying children between the ages of 0 and 5 and implement appropriate early intervention programmes.

· To diversify money sources in order to increase financial independence.

Our Mission And Values

Mission is to create an infrastructure of easily accessible services for people, mainly for the underprivileged society, employing labour and materials available in active participation-ready communities, resulting in an inclusive society. Additionally, to put them on the path of sustainable growth by integrating them into society at large.

· Service: The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

· Responsibility: You can’t escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.

· Determination: A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.

· Happiness: Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own.

· Kindness: Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own.

· Contribution: The human contribution is the essential ingredient. It is only in the giving of oneself to others that we truly live.
