“Aparajita- 100 million smiles” is an initiative undertaken by Amar Ujala, one of the leading newspapers in Hindi. This initiative aims at empowering women and ensuring that their rights are fulfilled and their dignity is maintained.
Under Aparajita initiative, a rally was staged where hundreds of students of various schools from Aligarh district participated. The students were full of excitement and zeal which helped the event to be a huge success.
The rally had started at Naurangi Lal Inter College and was destined to Aligarh Public School. It was shown a green signal by the DM of Aligarh, Mr. Chandrabhushan Singh, His wife Anjana Singh Senger and Mrs. SSP Swati Rai Kulhari jointly. Along with school students, members of UDAAN society also participated in this event, showing their support for this social cause that aims at improving the psychology of our society and establishing equality between men and women. The participants were addressed by the Principals of participating schools, Government authorities and Mr. Gyanendra Mishra of UDAAN society, who emphasized on the importance of equal treatment among this young generation which is the future of our country.
We, at UDAAN, hope that with such steps taken by concerned authorities and active participation by the youth will help us achieve the objective of complete growth of our country. Among others Prasoon Gupta, Himanshu Sharma of NMIMS Mumbai campus, Anchal Maheswari of NMIMS Hyderabad Campus, Rohit Talan of AMU and Nadeem Ahmad, childline team members also participated in the event.
