UDAAN Society was formed in year 2004 when some young social workers working to eradicate Polio thought to work on alternative strategies, apart from community mobilization for the eradication of Polio.
UDAAN Society is presently working at Aligarh, Hathras, Bulandshar, etc.
Our working area mostly includes both slums and rural areas. So that we can reach the needy.
To establish an infrastructure of accessible services for people, primarily for under-privileged society, using manpower and resources available within communities willing to actively participate leading to an inclusive society.
To make people’s life easier by applying the humanistic approach based on equality, justice and peace to bring them on the path of sustainable development by involving them in main stream society.
Board members play a critical role in the development and success of non-profit organisations. These volunteers act as guardians for UDAAN Society who protect and maintain the core values and purposes of the organisation.
As a collective body, the members hold the authority and responsibility to ensure the fulfillment of the organisation’s mission. These members do not receive any remuneration for their work and they put their best efforts because of their love for society.
Dr. Gyanendra Mishra has completed PhD in Social Work. He has fourteen years of experience in Community development and intervention with individuals, group and societies. He is leading UDAAN Society since 2004 and working toward a successful and most credible organization at Northern part of India.
Mr. Ahmad Shahvez has 15 years of experience in social sector supporting communications, planning, monitoring of programme implementation, assessment of impact and capacity building initiatives in monitoring and evaluation for partners. He had been responsible to support design, manage, and facilitate the implementation of programme communication strategy, activities in India, Ethiopia and Afghanistan for strategic communication and promotion for social and behavioural change in support of country programme delivery.
Mr. Mohit Saxena has worked as Distt. Coordination in WHO (Word Health Organization)-NPSP project from Nov 2002 to July 2007. He has provided training to volunteers of NSS, AMU- Unit, NCC Cadets of Aligarh, Rotary International volunteers.
